With immediate effect, the Stockalperweg is closed in winter on its entire route network from Brig via the Simplon to Gondo and via Furggu-Zwischbergen to Gondo. The bridge at Fort Gondo is closed and cannot be bypassed.
No road maintenance takes place during the winter. Due to its location, the Stockalperweg cannot be used in winter (avalanche risk).
