Stockalperweg ¦ Opening
The Stockalperweg Brig-Gondo is now (30 May 2025) accessible again after the winter closure. Due to a landslide in the ‘Bachtschugge’ area, part of the path between Schallberg and Mittubäch is currently not accessible and must be bypassed on the Ganter valley path. The diversions is signposted on site – further information on the detour. From the Simplon Pass, the route on the south side is continuously accessible, both through the Gondo Gorge to Gondo and on the Feerberg-Furggi-Zwischbergen variant.
The Ecomuseum on the village square in Simplon will also be open again from 1 June at the usual times, this year with a temporary exhibition on Simplon crafts and the history of 60 years of the ‘Bleiken’ music society.
