Hemmer trekking: Adventure hike

Discover the Stockalperweg in its originality

The mule track over the Simplon was developed in the 17th century by the merchant Kaspar Stockalper from Bruges in order to favor the trade across the Alps with columns of mules. The trade route over the Simplon Pass and through the Gondo Gorge helped Kaspar Stockalper to great wealth.

Embark on a journey of discovery into a bygone era with the mule train.
