Although the palace was never completed during the lifetime of the great politician and entrepreneur, the three-towered monument is today considered a landmark of the german-speaking Valais region and the most powerful secular Baroque building on the territory of present-day Switzerland.<\/p>\n<p>The magnificent building with its extensive historic gardens is actively used and visited. It is easily accessible by public transport.
